Additive test on Clio 1600 220hp trophy full stock . Full stock renault engine . The "tabular" comparison highlighted the quality of the additive used in the test in question (375ml protec additive on 40 litres of petrol). The total absence of ignition delay applied by the intervention of the knock sensor (-3, -6, -9) allowed the engine to have a good overall gain: +16hp over 6000 rpm and a very respectable maximum power. The corrections were reset and, thanks to the gain derived from the use of the protec additive (on average +3-5%), the engine successfully returned the power declared by the manufacturer.
